CAT-20040DC | The California Air Tools 20040DC ultra quiet and oil-free air compressor with air drying system is designed to be one of the quietest 4 hp air compressors in the industry emitting only 75 decibels of sound. The powerful new 4 hp SP Series motor operates at only 1,680 rpm creating less noise and less wear. These new motors have been designed to increase duty cycle and allow for longer continuous run times. The oil-free, dual piston pump is tested for a life cycle of 3,000+ hours before wear compared to other comparable units with life cycles of 1,500 hours or less.

The air drying system features Activated Alumina desiccant with a 4,000 hour life. The air dryer is specially designed to remove 80% of the water vapor from the air to protect sensitive, and expensive, tools and machinery. To dry the air from the air compressor an aftercooler and air dryer are utilized. The aftercooler is a heat exchanger for cooling the discharge air from the air compressor. The water vapor from the compressed air is condensed into liquid form and pushed into the air dryer.

Oil-free compressors allow for use in a variety of temperatures and uneven terrains. The CAT-20040DC is ideal for the person looking for power and air flow yet minimal service, maintenance, and noise.
