CAT-10020AC | The California Air Tools 10020AC ultra quiet and oil-free air compressor is designed to be one of the quietest 2 hp air compressors in the industry emitting only 70 decibels of sound. The powerful 2 hp motor operates at only 1,680 rpm creating less noise, less vibration, and less wear. The oil-free dual piston pump system is engineered for longevity, high performance and durability. The new, heavy-duty SP Series motor (SP-9421) is designed for increased duty cycle and longer continuous run time. This motor is tested for a minimum pump life of 3,000+ hours before service, 25% more life before repair. The large 10 gallon lightweight, rust-free aluminum air tank with wheel kit makes it very easy to move around a job site, shop, or garage.

The Easy Start Valve feature allows for an easier start up using less starting Amps. This valve releases a small amount of air from the pump at start up to produce a no-load condition allowing the motor to spin freely. The no-load start up requires less Amps for an easier start in cold temperatures.

The CAT-10020AC air compressor is ideal for anyone looking for power, air flow, less service, less maintenance, and 30% less noise!

Ships complete with (2) air filters, no special assembly or installation service required.

TEST RUN

Before using the air compressor for the first time, complete a test run as follows:

  1. Turn the power switch to the OFF position. Plug the power supply cord into a power supply socket. Start the air compressor by turning the power switch to the ON position. The pressure gauge reading will slowly rise as pressure increases inside the air tank. When the gauge reading reaches 115-120 PSI, the pressure switch will automatically turn the power off. This indicates the compressor is working normally.
  2. Turn the power switch to the OFF position, unplug the power supply cord and release the air in the tank by pulling on the safety valve. At this point proceed to the next step (daily operation) starting the air compressor to continue to use.
Note: If the Air Compressor is not working properly, the pressure gauge will indicate that there is a decrease in pressure in the air tank. If there is an air leak from the compressor the pressure in the tank decreases, the pressure switch resets, and the motor automatically turns back on.

If you detect an air leakage, turn the power switch to the OFF position and release air from the tank by pulling on the safety valve. Unplug the power supply cord and contact California Air Tools Customer Service at (866) 409-4581.

DAILY OPERATION

Starting the compressor:

  1. Turn the power switch to the OFF position
  2. Attach the air hose to the 1/4" air hose connection
  3. Close the drainage valve
  4. Lift up and turn the regulator knob completely to the left. This will turn down the pressure at the air hose before starting
  5. Plug the power supply cord into a power supply socket
  6. Turn the power switch to the ON position
  7. Let the motor run and tank fill until motor turns off
  8. Turn the regulator knob to the right increasing the pressure at the hose. Turn the pressure up until the desired pressure at the air hose is reached
  9. Operate air tool normally
  10. Only operate continuously for 1 hour maximum. Allow compressor to cool down before restarting

Shutting down the compressor:

  1. Turn the power switch to the OFF position
  2. Unplug the power supply cord
  3. Reduce the pressure in the air tank through the air supply hose
